A native of Burlington, Vt., Staige grew up playing club soccer for Far Post Soccer Club from the ages of nine to 18, winning six state championships. He graduated from Green Mountain Valley School, captaining the side his senior year and earning a Twin State All-Star selection. In the fall of 2016 while living in England, Davis played in the Welsh 2nd Division for Buckley Town FC. After returning to Vermont, he attended Norwich University, playing 34 games in his 3 seasons and serving as the team captain for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons.

Davis began his coaching career at Far Post Soccer Club where he worked for 13 years. He has been the head coach for teams ranging from U10 to U18 and served as the Director of Coaching for the U11-12 age groups. In 2016, he spent 6 months in England on a coaching apprenticeship with League 2 club Crewe Alexandra. From 2021-2023 he was the first assistant coach at Norwich University, before taking over as the head coach for the 2023-2024 season, and guiding the program to a conference final in his first year in charge. From 2022-2023 he also served as an assistant coach for newly created USL 2 side Vermont Green FC.

Staige currently works with our 2011 and 2013 boys and is the newly appointed head coach of our Men's team, SF Elite Metro.
